Débora Póvoa
Event producer

Débora serves as event producer at Caribbean Creativity since 2016. She graduated in Journalism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in 2012 and is currently taking a Master’s degree in Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam.

While in Brazil, she worked as a freelance journalist for diverse cultural events, including Europalia Arts Festival and FotoRio, and also as a press agent and social media manager for the Municipal Secretary of Tourism of Rio de Janeiro. After that, she became the copywriter of the advertising startup Peixe (Fora da Lata), a position that allowed her to acquire experience in events planning and video production. In Amsterdam, she is not only a volunteer for Caribbean Creativity, but also for the Netherlands Association for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (NALACS).
