De film bevat interviews met Jimmy Cliff, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Dave Stewart, Sly Dunbar, Ali Campbell, Ernest Ranglin, Lord Creator, Bunny Lee, King Jammy en Maxi Priest. Ook zit er een nooit eerder gehoord nummer van Dennis Brown, de wijlen ‘Crown Prince van Reggae’ in de documentaire.

Reshma B is a music journalist and filmmaker from London who specializes in reggae and dancehall music. Her work has appeared on media platforms such as the BBC, Billboard, The Fader, Pigeons & Planes, Complex, VIBE, Clash Music and Boomshots. She is also the editor for reggae and dancehall at Tidal and her column ‘Murda She Wrote’ highlights the latest dancehall releases. Over the years, she has conducted extensive interviews with most of the top acts in Jamaican music, including Shabba Ranks, Super Cat, Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Spice and Popcaan. Last but not least, Reshma B has produced music docs for television, radio and the internet. In her short film Jamaica Inna Real Life she and a camera crew followed New York-based recording artist Hood Celebrityy on her first trip home to Jamaica since she was a little girl. Studio 17 marks her first feature-length project as a producer.

Tijdens het Marley75 Film Festival zetten we Marley, zijn muziek en zijn geboorteland Jamaica in het zonnetje en vieren we zijn leven en legacy met premières, klassiekers en feestjes.
