Rootical Vibrations: Rasta Connections (Ed. 3 ft. Awake Zion)

On Friday May 27, 2011 Caribbean Creativity, in collaboration with Each One Teach One and Studio/K, presents the third edition of Rootical Vibrations, a full evening’s event celebrating Roots Reggae and Rasta Culture. The evening begins at 8.30pm with a Nyabinghi welcome session, followed by the Dutch premiere of Awake Zion. This unique documentary, directed by filmmaker Monica Haim, explores the unsuspecting links between Rastafari and Judaism. Around 11.00pm the night continues with live performances by Raphael and Leah, two emerging reggae artists from Amsterdam. Around midnight DJ Rastology will take over with strictly Roots Reggae classics till 3.00am in the morning. For those people who want to rest in between dancing, there will be a market with ital food and reggae merchandise.
